After working on Caterpillar for so many years and producing a lot of the same looking material, I decided to do a sample project combining a Caterpillar D11T Track Type Tractor with a Hasbro Transformer.  By manipulating an existing transformer and adding Caterpillar parts, I created a whole new character.  For this piece I resurfaced, rigged and animated the machine in an environment I created from scratch.  I lit the scene and added other geometry from other machines to add atmosphere to the environment.  Once it was all setup I animated and transformed the machine to music I found online.  I added smoke, glows, and lightning in Adobe After Effects.   I’m having fun with this one, but for now it remains a work in progress.
